V sobotu 22. srpna se konala desátá soutěž Táborské hasičské ligy. Tentokrát dovedly cesty dobrovolné hasiče do Kozmic.
Tamní SDH bylo jedním z pořadatelských nováčků v seriálu THL. A tak se na jejich pořadatelský um přijelo podívat 26 mužských a 14 ženských družstev. Soutěžící družstva však přivítalo nevlídné deštivé počasí. Vytrvalý déšť smáčel trať, diváky i soutěžící. V Kozmicích se potvrdilo, že lidé okolo hasičského sportu musí vodu milovat.
A tak po rychlém nástupu za silného deště odstartovalo první mužské družstvo. Byli to domácí borci. Ti využili znalosti terénu a blýskli se pěkným časem. Po jejich útoku byl zapsán čas 20.44 sekundy. Poté se na start postavili Košice „A" a následně Vesce. Bohužel tato družstva nedokončila. To byl náznak toho, že za tohoto počasí nebude až tak jednoduché podávat maximální výkony. Jako pátí se na základně připravovali muži z chrbonínského áčka.
Ta byla umístěna na asfaltovém povrchu s výběhem na fotbalové hřiště. Bohužel první dva metry výběhu byli nové zeminy a vytrvalí déšť z ní udělal hluboké bahno. Ale přesto byla trať celkově pěkná a ani silný déšť ji nijak významně nepoznamenal. Ale to již chrbonínští dokončili přípravu a postavili se na start. Ani děvčata dešti neutekla. Sice k nim bylo počasí vlídnější, ale drobné kapky stále dopadaly na závodní dráhu. Ženskou soutěž zahájila Chrbonínská děvčata. Povedený pokus skončil u proudařek. Na nových posilách se podepsala nezkušenost a poté co na levém proudu Míša Pichová neudržela proudnici.
Mohli si nejen Chrbonínští oddechnout, že se nikomu nic nestalo. I přes tento incident děvčata dokončila a to v čase 46.78 sekundy. Třetí se na start postavila děvčata z dvoreckého áčka. Děvčata předvádějí stabilní výkony a ani ten v Kozmicích nebyl výjimkou. Lucie Nováková se opět stala nejrychlejší proudařkou soutěže. Tentokrát v čase 19.00 sekundy. Její kolegyně Katka Vejdová na proudu levém pak srazila v čase 19.33 sekundy, což byl i výsledný čas. Svým útokem postavily laťku hodně vysoko. Dokonce tak vysoko, že ji už nikdo nedokázal překonat a děvčata si tak odvezla plný počet bodů. Čtvrté se na start postavily domácí holky. Povzbuzování fanoušků jim pomohlo k předvedení pěkného útoku. Výsledný čas 21.70 sekundy jim vynesl na domácí půdě celkové čtvrté místo. Pětici nejlepších tentokrát uzavíraly ženy z Moravče. Výsledný čas 22.16 v jejich podání na lepší umístění nestačil. Zato kamenickým děvčatům se jejich útok povedl a čas 20.90 sekundy jim zajistil třetí místo. Dvanácté na startu stanuly ženy z Nové Včelnice. Po jejich pokusu se divákům ukázal čas 20.14 sekundy a posunuly se tím na druhé místo. Soutěž žen uzavírala Chotěmická děvčata. Jejich výkon však nepatřil k těm nejpovedenějším a s časem 22.56 sekundy nemohly pomýšlet na lepší umístění než na šesté. To znamenalo, že je dvorecké áčko předskočilo v celkové tabulce o čtyři body.
Vzhledem k deštivému počasí pořadatelé finále zrušili a soutěžící tak již čekali na vyhlášení výsledků. Na závěr soutěžního dne se i počasí umoudřilo a tak se závěrečný nástup obešel bez deště.
V kategorii mužů tedy vyhrál Žďár a opět navýšil náskok před druhým Chrbonínem „A" a třetí tentokrát skončili muži ze Stoklasné Lhoty.
V kategorii žen vyhrály Dvorce „A" před Novou Včelnicí a Kamenicí nad Lipou.
To již byl úplný závěr deštivého dne, který však nenarušil pohodu soutěžících ani pořadatelů. Nezbývá nic jiného než se na pěknou trať těšit do příštího ročníku a pořadatelům přát lepší počasí. To si snad objednali pořadatelé v Žirovnici, kam se soutěžící vydají v sobotu 29. srpna. Připravena pro ně bude další populární noční soutěž s dlouhou tradicí tentokrát započítaná i do Táborské hasičské ligy. Pořadatelé tímto zvou nejen soutěžní družstva, ale i diváky, pro které je připraven doprovodný program před samotným zahájením soutěže.
